Tirana, Albania 25 April 2023 - Tirana International Airport "Mother Teresa" is proud to announce the dedication of a new work of art by Mr. Ilir Shimo, celebrated at a ceremony held at the airport premises today.

The airport has experienced remarkable growth this year, with a 78% increase in passengers compared to 2021. As it awaits its 7 millionth passenger this year, the airport is honored to bear the name of "Mother Teresa" and her legacy, which is reflected in the work of Mr. Ilir Shimo.

The dedication ceremony was attended by various distinguished guests, including Mr. Ilirjan Shima, the author of the work, Deada Hyka, and Genc Përmeti, who served as moderators. Also present were the Vice Director of Union Bank, Mrs. Suela Bokshi, Member of the Union Bank board, Mr. Niko Leka, Chancellor of Tirana to Achdiocese, Monsignor Henry Veldkamp, ​​and the representative of "Mother Teresa" Airport, Chief Operations Officer Mr. Piervittorio Farabbi.
